Sometimes I allow myself the free fall into experimentation. But normally I am a strategist, also in my painting.

In many work steps, first the backgrounds or the backgrounds for the actual image are created. These are different materials, color surfaces, lines, collages, structures and overlays. Only much later do the motifs come into place.

While I have clear ideas about most of the pictures weeks before, some others in turn only grow and develop on the canvas.

I love portraits - especially of women - with their different moods and the individual expression of their soul.

I prefer to work with strong acrylic colors, depending on the mood also like to take instead of the brush sometimes the spatula or the spray can. Especially the figurative motifs seem loose and dissolved, sometimes even disheveled. I like that!
