Why look for long explanations when everything inside you is calling for just this one answer ...

Pure energy: Anyone standing in front of this picture is either thrilled or turns away. The clear NO is a statement by Carola X. The No is a part of life, irreplaceable as a counterpart to the Yes. The viewer arbitrarily goes into emotional resonance, because part of us needs this ability to set limits.

And so this artwork seems to call out courage to the rebel in the viewer, "Say YES to your NO and go into your power!"

Fascinating is the implementation of this image statement through color and especially through structure. The pop of orange screams for attention. It contrasts with the more muted colors of the background. The old, rusty is torn open, surfaces burst and break through the normal. A metallic, rusty feather symbolizes the pent-up, escalating emotional potential.

The NO as a verbal translation of the mimic stands like graffiti on an incorporated rusty piece of metal. Here, too, the contrast of the old cold to the lively orange can be observed on a material level, although both colors tend to be warm. The power of saying no makes alive and that's what it's all about, isn't it?
