It needs the light clarity to be fully human.
This portrait of a woman is divided into two parts.
On the left side the human being looks at us. The eyes are made up, the skin has a warm blood supply, the mouth is full and feminine.
The right part of the face seems to lie behind and as if exposed by the demolition of a covering layer. This part is broken down to the light essence. White and blue-violet tones are cool, but not cold. It is as if we glimpsed the original being behind the human mask.
The sensory organs of the mental part are reduced to the eye and ear, while the larger, human part is also home to the ancient olfactory organ and the mouth as the site of human communication.
Every person has at least these two parts. Carola X succeeds in connecting them through the common deeply peaceful neutral expression in the eyes.
